Abstract
Rock art in Iran remains unevenly documented despite a growing number of recorded sites. This paper presents the newly documented Koshtargah petroglyphs in the Bourouiye Wildlife Refuge (Yazd Province), comprising 62 open-air panels and 205 motifs. Systematic field recording identified zoomorphic, anthropomorphic, geometric, abstract, and inscriptional motifs. Comparison with other Iranian sites indicates shared iconographic conventions, particularly in hunting and ibex representations. Koshtargah petroglyphs expand the documented distribution of Iranian rock art and provide a baseline for future chronological and conservation research.
